When I was seven years old, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM), a

rare autoimmune disease that causes the body's immune system to attack healthy

muscles, skin, and other organs.

Before my diagnosis, I became increasingly weak and exhausted. Simple activities

became difficult, and my days quickly filled with doctor's appointments, MRIs,

medications, and treatments. While I was fortunate to respond well to treatment, my

experience showed me just how challenging this disease can be for children and

families.

Throughout my journey, I was surrounded by incredible compassion from healthcare

providers, family, friends, and my community. Their support inspired me to give back.

Today, I am walking to support children who are currently battling JDM and to help fund

the research needed to find better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. Every donation

helps provide hope, support families, and advance critical research.
