Charlie’s JDM may go unnoticed by those who don’t know her closely, but Charlie’s personality is felt by almost everyone she meets.  Charlie is smart, creative, funny, and leaves an inspiring mark wherever she goes.  Charlie has promoted JDM awareness and living with chronic illness awareness through an award-wining short story that she read to her entire school as a third grader and was later published in a volume of young authors’ stories, through sharing “hospital menu hacks” beside her picture in a mural at Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, and through coaching friends or other kids she meets through their own experiences with medical care.
