Walking for Noelle — and Every Child Fighting JM

My daughter Noelle was a normal little girl — until she wasn't.

It started with a rash that spread across her body and itched so intensely she scratched her skin raw. Then came the pain. Her neck hurt so badly she couldn't turn her head. She struggled to sit up long enough to play. Simple things — things kids do without a second thought — became impossible.

Noelle has juvenile myositis, a rare autoimmune disease that attacks muscles, damages skin, and can steal abilities most of us take for granted: walking, smiling, even swallowing. And she is far from alone.

For over two years, this has been our normal. Monthly IVIG infusions. Weekly chemotherapy. Daily steroids. Noelle has carried all of it with more courage than I can put into words — but no child should have to.

There is no cure yet. But progress is happening, and that's exactly why I'm walking.

I'm joining the Walk Strong to Cure JM to raise funds for Cure JM, the only organization fully dedicated to this cause.  When we walk together, small steps create BIG change.
