Juvenile myositis (JM) is a rare autoimmune disease that weakens muscles, damages skin, attacks organs, and can take away simple abilities like walking and swallowing. Norah was diagnosed with JM at age three, and at one point required a wheelchair and feeding tube. Now Norah can run on the volleyball court and play her flute beautifully in the school band. You may never guess the amount of treatment she undergoes to keep those abilities, though. She has daily medications, weekly shots, and each month she stays at the hospital for two long days of IV infusions. We are so grateful that these treatments have given Norah her childhood back, but we know that even better is possible with enough focused research.

Our family is raising funds for the Cure JM Foundation. Cure JM is the only foundation that is solely dedicated to finding better treatments and a cure for JM. Every donation fuels research, supports families, and brings us closer to better treatments - and one day, a cure.
