Walk Strong Across America®

Walk Strong Across America® is a virtual walk that is held annually in all 50 U.S. States along with growing participation from international locations. The Cure JM Foundation® hosts the Walk Strong Across America® to raise money to support Juvenile Myositis research.

This fun and inspiring event invites families with children, teens and young adults fighting Juvenile Myositis to raise money and Walk on July 4th. In addition, extended family and friends, as well as corporate and community supporters, are invited to show their support by donating and walking on July 4th.

As the health and safety of our participants is always a top priority, everyone is encouraged to walk from the comfort of their home or around their neighborhood and follow all CDC guidelines.

While there is no fee to register to walk, all participants are encouraged to raise funds to support Cure JM’s important work. Gifts will be put straight to work to advance research for better treatments, better care, and, ultimately, a cure.

Like most rare diseases, JM research funding comes almost entirely from grassroots efforts. All gifts go straight to Cure JM Foundation and will support crucial work, including:

• Making JM research at the 24 major institutions around the world possible.
• Funding drug discovery and development research, so children will have more and better treatments.
• Investing in research to understand the genes that contribute to JM.
• Finding and supporting the “best and the brightest” of the next generation of doctors and researchers that will support and treat children with Juvenile Myositis.
