Join Us for Walk Strong Across America on July 3, 2021
We are participating in the 2nd annual Walk Strong Across America.
We invite you to show your support by making a gift and walking with us on or before July 4th - from the comfort of your home, in your yard, or around your neighborhood.
Cure JM families, friends and supporters are coming together to raise $750,000 for Juvenile Myositis research.
Juvenile Myositis (JM), including Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM) and Juvenile Polymyositis (JPM), is a group of rare and life-threatening autoimmune diseases, in which the body’s immune system attacks its own cells and tissues.
Our daughter, Claire was diagnosed with JDM when she was in 1st grade. We have been very lucky in our JDM journey. She was diagnosed quickly because of her rash and some great doctors. She was immediately put on three medications which included a weekly injection and a steroid. We are so happy and blessed that today she only takes an arthritis pill as needed. We know not all families are as lucky as we have been. So we walk to raise awareness and to raise money for a cure.
Gifts will be matched by the Leetz Family Match. Every dollar makes a difference and gifts will be put straight to work to advance research for better treatments, better care, and, ultimately, a cure.
We are so grateful for your support.
