Make a Gift of Hope Today
Please consider donating! Every donation is matched by the Coffey family! Cure JM is an organization that funds research for Juvenile Myositis. My daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis last year, which is the most frequent form of Juvenile Myositis. She was unable to do many things a normal 5 year old could do. She was unable to run with friends, unable to climb the stairs without support and she couldn't sit on the floor without falling backwards. She needed help with many things she should of been able to do herself. She also had rashes on her joints such as knees and elbows. She started doing better till this last summer. The sun caused her to flare and the muscle weakness and rashes returned. Juvenile Dermatomyositis is rare and there is no cure right now and the medication they have these kids on have horrible side effects. Weekly shot, monthly IVIg and labwork every 4 to 6 weeks which is really scary for a child. The medication causes mood swings such as crying and getting mad for no reason. Juvenile Dematomyositis effects these children in many ways emotionally and physically.
So, it would be so great if we could raise more money so Cure JM can research better treatments for these kids and maybe one day find a CURE!
This holiday season, give children hope for a brighter future.

Every gift helps children battling Juvenile Myositis. Juvenile Myositis turns a young life upside down. The immune system loses control and the body attacks itself. It can steal a child's ability to walk, play, or even swallow.
Right now, there are no FDA-approved treatments or a cure, but we can change that! With your support, Cure JM is leading the way in groundbreaking JM research. There are now more new treatments in development for JM than ever before. We are optimistic that several of the drugs we have in the research pipeline will improve the lives of our children:
·One drug is a possible steroid replacement—a new steroid with far fewer side effects.
·Another has already shown improvement in muscle strength and skin conditions in JM patients.
·Both of these drugs are on their way to clinical trials in JM patients.
This extraordinary progress is made possible by friends and family like you!
